ABOUT US

Clearmont Volunteer Fire Department is a 100% volunteer organization. Our district is located just north of Burnsville NC. We hold a 9E rating with North Carolina Department of insurance. Currently we operate 7 units out of 2 stations. Our combined district is a total of 35 square miles. We have 36 volunteers which put in a total of over 7000 training hours per year. Our call volume averages 250 per year. Our budget is determined by a tax base. Currently it is $0.05 / $100.00 of our residence and business owner's property tax. We apply for numerious grants therefore allowing us to provide a better service for our community, which they deserve. We are always looking for new members.
